The Cantine Povero story began in 1948 when its founder planted the first vineyard and felt a strong surge of emotion and deep attachment for his terroir, as well as the pride of continuing the tradition of his ancestors whose roots go back to 1837 – a precious heritage of ancient wisdom, experience and art that has been handed down in the Tumlin Family from those distant times until today.
